Kryptonite 2014 is KA’s 4 batten wave sail. In 2013 we introduced the Kryptonite into the line-up as our maneuver oriented wave/freestyle sail. It has a shorter more compact profile compared to the Killer and a bit less built in foil shape for a more “throw-around” persona.

Compared to the 2013 we tweaked the luff by removing some excess material and slightly adjusted the bend curve to get more power on demand. We also lifted the bottom batten and foot angle. Some shape up high has been eased to reduce drag and increase acceleration and response. Aramid Draft Lock, radial clew stringers to stabilize the draft have been added which reduce stretch and provide a stronger more responsive clew. The use of our hi tech tri axle 2 ply laminate in the top panels of the sail keeps the swing weight down and the 7mil monofilm window provides crystal clear vision.

With its dynamic leech the sail is always engaging providing you with a soft ride that is rarely overpowering. The Kryptonite’s crisp gust response will have you accelerating into moves with ease and with a bold new graphic you are sure to get noticed by your peers. For 2014 we have also introduced the “Kryptonite Blue” available in a blue and has a full Xpy construction including the window. This sail is for the real heavy duty stuff!
